This is probably THE RAREST Gang starr 12" ever!! Test press only release! How many copies can there exist of this record!?! 50? 100? More? Less? I don't know! The "SRC" logo is etched on the run-out groove, which proves it's not a bootleg (in case you didn't know, "SRC" is short for Specialty Records Corporation). It's nice to have the "Hardcore composer" track on nice and loud vinyl pressing, plus you also get both instrumentals of the "Flip the script" track. The only sad thing about this record (except for the ugly writing on the label) is that "I'm the man" is censored, which is very annoying!

The "Full clip - remix" is the same version as the original version, except there's an extra verse by Sticky Fingaz at the end. Who ever made this "remix" just took a Sticky Fingaz accapella (if anyone knows from what track please let me know), extended the original beat and added the accapella on it. Same thing with the "Work - remix". If anyone knows from what track the Big L accapella is from, let me know. To be honest, these remixes are a waste of time! Don't bother picking this up. Sound quality sucks too!

33 rpm! If you only should have one Dream Warriors 12", then "I lost my ignorance" is THE one! Guru is handeling half of the vocals, very nice indeed! The 2nd release in the "ill kid sampler" series. First time I heard "Doe In advance" was on this bootleg from 1995 (Probably the first time it was put on vinyl). I was wondering for many years where this track originated from (the bootleggers must have gotten it from somewhere, right?) and I just recently found out where it came from. Apparently it was originally (and officially...) available on two different places:
- The UK promo-only cassette version of "Hard to earn" (thanks to Shahid for this information).
- The Japanese CD version of "Hard to earn" (thanks to Jo for confirming me this information).
Apparently it was pulled off the "Hard to earn" LP due to problems clearing the trumpet sample (Ohio Players). Track list on the label is hand written by me and was not originally on the label.

My guess is this came out around 1998. The label says it was recorded in 1992, which is probably true, as Scientifik is mentioning the year 1992 on at least one track. The production is hot! Definitely sounds as if the same producer line-up from the "Criminal" LP was involved. Lots of known samples, which was later used by other artist. Unfortunately some of the tracks are not in top sound quality, almost like demo-tape kind of quality. Maybe this was just a demo-tape from the beginning...

This is volume 3 out of three "Rare Selections" EP's by Lord Finesse. This EP was released by Lord Finesse's own label Underdog Records, teamed up with New York City based label, No Sleep Recordings. 300 copies made. This is an essential record for any Lord Finesse / Big L / D.I.T.C. fan.

Lord Finesse - "Keep The Crowd Listening - DJ Premier Remix" (Produced by DJ Premier - 2005)
This DJ Premier remix was originally done for "The Funky Technician Remix" Project, but due to popular demand because it was leaked early out on the internet (not on vinyl or bootleg), we figured we would make it officially available on vinyl only on this Collector's Edition

Lord Finesse - "Stop Sweating The Next Man - Unreleased Remix" (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1992)
This remix was done for the 3rd commercial single from the Giant / Warner Brothers release "The Return Of The Funkyman". This was supposed to be the next single after the "Party Over Here / Yes You May Remix" 12". A 3rd single was never released from that LP, so this has stayed unreleased until now.

Lord Finesse - "Vinyl Athletes - Unreleased Original Version" Featuring A.G. & MURO (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1999)
Due to sample clearance problems this version never saw the light of day. This was the original version and the other version that was released, is actually a 2nd version produced instead due the above sample clearance problems. Originally this appeared on my "Rare & Unreleased" Pt.1 CD, but due to a lot of people asking, here it is on vinyl finally.

Lord Finesse - "MURO Freestyle" (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1998)
This was a freestyle done for the MURO / Lord Finesse "King Of Diggin" mixtape that we now made available for vinyl collectors.

Big L - "I Can't Understand It - Demo Version" (Produced by Showbiz - 1991)
This is another one of his rare demos that were done previous to him signing to Sony Records. This demo was produced by Showbiz.

Lord Finesse - "Isn't He Something - Unreleased Remix" (Produced by Showbiz - 1991)
This was a jazzy remix that was done by Showbiz during the making of "The Return Of The Funkyman", but at the end of the day this remix was never used and archived until now.

Brains - "From Me 2 U - funkyman version" (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1994)
This is an unreleased song for an artist called Brains that was produced by me. It was archived until now.

40 oz. - "Just One Of Those Days - Original Version" (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1993)
This version of "Just One Of Those Days" is the original version that was produced by me. Due to the fact that Mic Geronimo commercially used the Deniece Williams "Free" sample first, the song was eventually remixed. Both versions were eventually archived until this year.

Lord Finesse - "Outro - Awakening interlude" (Produced by Lord Finesse - 1995)
This outro was originally done for "The Awakening" LP. But was later used in a verse for the song "Soul Plan" featuring Roy Ayers.

All songs are mastered by the legendary Tony Dawsey at Masterdisk Studios, NYC.
